The Assessment

Discover the four components of our assessment process by exploring the details below:

Initial consultation

Our initial consultation is to address any queries you may have about booking, the assessment process, and pricing.

During this consultation, we will provide you with a clear understanding of what to expect and guide you through the next steps.

We will address your questions about the booking process, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

We can also discuss pricing, providing transparency and clarity to help you make an informed decision.

We are committed to ensuring that you feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the journey, and our initial consultation is the perfect opportunity to address any concerns and set you on the path towards a comprehensive autism assessment.

Preliminary Questionnaires and Additional information

Prior to the diagnostic interview, you will be sent and asked to complete pre-assessment questionnaires. These questionnaires help gather preliminary information about the individual's social communication, behaviours, and experiences.

We ask you to attend the interview with a family member, partner or close friend who has known you for an extended period. The inclusion of different perspectives helps provide a comprehensive understanding of the your experiences and behaviours.

Diagnostic Interview

The diagnostic interview, with yourself and chosen informant, is conducted after reviewing the questionnaires. This will be a video consultation. The interview aims to gather detailed information about your developmental milestones, social communication skills, sensory experiences and current challenges.

This will last up to 90minutes.

Feedback and Follow up

Based on the assessment findings, the clinician will provide a formal diagnosis of autism if the criteria are met. They will explain the results to the you at the end of the assessment, offering guidance, support, and any further recommendations.

Following your interview, you will receive a comprehensive written report within 2 weeks of the assessment.

We also offer an optional follow up telephone appointment 4-6 weeks after your assessment to check in how you are coping with the outcome. This is an opportunity to address any queries you may have following a diagnosis.
